Four years ago, during our spring trip to England, we had a wonderful
Valentine’s Day dinner at the Three
Swans Hotel in Market
Harborough. Built as a coaching house more than 500 years ago,
the Three Swans has welcomed travelers such as King
Charles I and Queen
Anne (alas, she didn’t leave behind any furniture).
Okay, so we’re not exactly royalty, but when we went back to
Market Harborough this time, there was no doubt we’d stay at
the Swans. After all, they also mate for life.

Some of the locals out for a stroll in Market Harborough.
